contest

I won a contest today! How crazy? I never win things, as incredibly cliche that sounds, I really truly don't. It was fantastic contest at that: for Harry Potter, which is absolutely one of my most favorite things. All I had to do was explain which book is my favorite and why. It was the simplest thing I could have possibly done. I can talk about Harry Potter for hours and hours. I've read each of the books so many times I've lost count. It was by far one of the most amazing experiences. I can't wait for my prize, of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 on DVD, to come through the mail.

I think it's the things that you care about the most that will work out and turn out wonderfully. If you don't believe in what you are doing, you will never be able to accomplish you goal.

first

I've never done something like this before and maybe no one will read it. Maybe it won't matter. But, in a way, even in my wallflower facade, I hope someone does. Someone sees my secrets.

I met with a friend today, who I realized a little while ago, we are heading in completely different directions. Not in the literal sense so much. But, in the sense that makes the most difference, the mental one. I just want make a difference here while I can. I'm a junior and a large part of the Orientation Department and I want to make that something big for all the Freshman coming here in the Fall. I want to make things better for other people. This friend of mine has no concept of that and for some strange reason I'm so glad I finally figured it out. Now, I don't mind leaving her behind and finding new friends who want to do good things too.

It's a relief to let her go. It's a relief to find really good people, who think and feel like me. I've always felt really alone, but finally maybe I'm not.

"Dark Blue, Dark Blue Have you ever been alone in a crowded room? Well, I'm here with you. I said the world could be burning dark blue." Jack's Mannequin "Dark Blue"

(P.S. That's one thing that you should know about me. I'm kind of obsessed with music, so every post will be concluded with some lyrics. Check 'em out. I have pretty good taste. I'll probably talk about that eventually.)
